Coming to Warsaw …
… by plane usually is via Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW), located within the city of Warsaw. Alternatively, you may use Warsaw Modlin Airport (WMI), some 35 km from Warsaw downtown. From both airports you may use public transport to get to the conference venue or the to the Warsaw downtown. We recommend using Google Maps for finding connections.
Coming to the conference venue directly from the Warsaw Chopin Airport
- Take a ‘188’ bus to ‘Metro Politechnika’, then take one metro stop from ‘Metro Politechnika’ to ‘Metro Pole Mokotowskie’ (direction Kabaty).
- Tickets can be bought in any bookstall or grocery’s. It will take around 45 minutes to get to the conference venue by bus and metro; Take a taxi (around 7 euro), or order uber (around 5 euro), which will get you to the conference venue in less than 20 minutes.
Coming to the conference venue directly from the Warsaw Modlin Airport
- Take a ‘OKBus’ or ‘Modlinbus’ to Warsaw downtown (Warszawa centrum). Ticket prices range from 9 to 33 PLN (2-8 euro); then take two metro stops from ‘Metro Centrum to ‘Metro Pole Mokotowskie’ (direction Kabaty). Tickets for metro ride can be bought in automatic ticket vending machines or in any bookstall or grocery’s. It will take around 1 h 15 minutes to get to the conference venue taking a bus and metro;
- A taxi from the Modlin airport to Warsaw School of Economist costs around 40 euros, and uber around 25 euros (though the prices might vary depending on the traffic).
There is a wide range of accommodation facilities – ranging from a nicely located youth hostel to luxury hotels – available in Warsaw. Timely reservation, however, is strongly recommended. We recommend booking a place via www.booking.com.
Moving around Warsaw …
… is most convenient by the metro line, buses or trams, that run very frequently. The conference venue is right next to the bus, tram and metro ‘Pole Mokotowskie’ stop. Travel time to/from the city downtown (and most hotels) is about 10-15 minutes. For more details use: www.google.pl/maps.
